epdm.lv: a new website that kept its Google rankings

epdm.lv sells Elevate EPDM membranes for roofs, terraces and ponds in Latvia. The old site looked dated, but it ranked well in Google. The brief was simple and strict: a new site, and not one ranking lost.

Redesign without losing SEO

Most redesigns lose traffic because addresses, titles and page structure change at once. Here the search side stayed exactly as Google knew it, and only the design and code were replaced.

• Same URLs for every page in Latvian, Russian and English, plus the cookie page.
• Same titles, descriptions, canonical tags and hreflang, checked line by line against the old site.
• Same structured data, and old in-page anchors kept so existing links still land in the right place.
• 301 redirects for the old builder addresses, and old image paths still served.

What changed

A new logo, a dark, clear layout and new visuals for each use: flat roofs, terraces, commercial roofs, metal roof renovation, modular buildings, reservoirs and green roofs. Real project photos stay in the gallery. Videos load only when the visitor presses play, so the site sets no cookies and needs no banner.
